The first of Kathy Whitworth'srecord 88 wins was on 8 July 1962 when she beat Sandra Haynie by one stroke to win the Kelly Girls Open at Turf Valley Country Club, Maryland. Her 88th and last win was 23 years later on 12 May 1985 when she beat Amy Alcott by one stroke to win the United Virginia Bank Classic at Sleepy Hole, Virginia.

Lyda Ko won 12 LPGA Tour events before her 19th birthday.

The youngest person to take part in an LPGA Tour event is Beverly Klass who was just 10 years and 184 days when she competed in the Dallas Civitan Open at Glenn Lakes Country Club in May 1967. She finished joint 51st. Six weeks later she competed in the US Women's Open.
